SimplyFresh Republic coffee to go case study
SimplyFresh Republic is a neighbourhood convenience store located in a village. With a local customer base visiting for daily essentials and no previous coffee to go offering, they wanted to ensure that the introduction of a new coffee solution encouraged customer loyalty.
The choice of coffee brand was important due to the fierce competition from nearby coffee shops. SimplyFresh needed to ensure that they could provide a premium coffee experience, offering a complete coffee shop menu including fresh milk, hot chocolate and tea.
To help launch their new coffee to go solution, eXpresso PLUS held a free coffee morning in store, which helped to engage new and existing customers to try before they buy; “The Brand Guardian support has been great for the store set up and key to customer activation”, Donna Crumpet, Store manager explained.

SimplyFresh Republic pride themselves in serving a local and organic range of food and drink. The Lavazza fresh milk machine offers a solution providing fresh milk and Rainforest Alliance coffee which made a great match for the store.
Feedback from customers has been positive with the majority of comments surrounding the quality and consistency of the coffee available. With the Lavazza machine they chose for their store, their customers can expect coffee shop quality on the to go.
Since installing their Lavazza Fresh Milk To Go Solution, food to go sales are significantly higher than most convenience stores, with coffee and other food to go items accounting for around 40% of their store’s sales.
Their coffee sales alone reach 80+ per day, giving the store a whole new revenue stream. Donna explains, “Coffee sales have been so high that we have had to install a second Lavazza Coffee To Go solution to keep up with the demand. The second machine will support extra sales, giving the store an even bigger visual impact”
